The Treasury and Risk Management Application Lead will conceive, design, engineer, and implement technology solutions that solve Treasury and Financial needs. Ensure high quality solutions are built that meet current and anticipated business needs. Investigate, identify, and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in Treasury. Act as a lead in his/her area of expertise and critically evaluate relevant technological advances and integrate this knowledge into new business technology solutions.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Deliver technology transformations including Treasury IT strategy, bank connectivity strategies, and TMS implementations.

  • Partner with leadership, regional treasurers, and managers to provide guidance on solving business needs using technology.

  • Partner with technical teams to design and build solutions, drive effective issue management and effective communication with key stakeholders.

  • Anticipate and critically evaluate technological advances or competitive threats and respond with appropriate new strategies.

  • Demonstrate creative 'out of the box' thinking to solve difficult problems and champion new technologies to achieve project goals.

  • Independently responsible for technology within Treasury managing multiple projects.

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare business and utilize this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.

  • Shapes relationships with affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, and industry peers in accordance with Abbvie Values, Vendor Management Office, and Purchasing to further the mission, vision, and goals of the organization.

  • May mentor/supervise a team of one or more and guide and evaluate the performance of those individuals; is accountable for the effective performance of the team/individuals.

  • Keeps executive leadership, peers and staff informed through effective verbal and written communication.

  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years' experience or Master's Degree with 7 years' experience or PhD with 3 years' experience.

  • Experience in application program development.

  • Prior experience with ERP systems like SAP (ECC or S/4 HANA), with focus Treasury, Finance, and integration with third party platforms like Kyriba, FXALL, Bloomberg, etc.

  • Prior experience implementing Treasury Management Systems (TMS) globally including Cash & Liquidity Management, In House Cash (IHC), Bank Communication Management (BCM), Treasury & Risk management (TRM) with money market and FX hedging.

  • Experience in business processes, accounting principles, systems configuration, enhancements, and master data elements.

  • Requires in?depth knowledge of the systems development life cycle, client area's functions and systems, and systems application program development technological alternatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to function as a principal investigator, generating original technical ideas and software development strategies. Demonstrated creative 'out of the box' thinking to solve difficult technical problems and champion new technologies to achieve project goals.
