The SAP Security Analyst is responsible for performing day-to-day SAP system security design, implementation, configuration, and administration across all areas of SAP as well as providing production support and project lifecycle support. Works closely with team members, end users, and other IT departments to design, implement, support, and maintain Application security and security policies that supports Smithfield General IT Controls (GITC) and business. As a member on the IT access control team, the SAP Security Analyst will participate in day-to-day support and audit activities as well as cross training between team members. Provides security and integrity to Smithfield’s SAP and related environments.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

  • Performs day-to-day SAP system security design, implementation, configuration, and administration across all areas of SAP as well as providing production support throughout project lifecycles using SAP NetWeaver platform systems such as S/4 ECC, TM, BW, BOBJ, HANA, Portal NetWeaver Gateway, HCM ESS/MSS, GRC and Solution Manager.
  • Develops, implements and maintains SAP single roles, master/derived roles and composite roles using SAP ECC (ERP Central Component) Profile Generator and GRC.
  • Performs role design, configuration, testing, and deployment methodology within SAP application architecture.
  • Ensures compliance of SAP security configuration with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) General Computing Controls.
  • Performs Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC 10.x) risk configuration and administration.
  • Provides production support and works with business units to develop, implement and improve security control.
  • Responds rapidly and efficiently to requests requiring security control changes.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert of SAP Security Concepts and demonstrates full technical competence, including demonstrated understanding of data privacy concepts.
  • Translates business functional requirements into technical design for security roles.
  • Documents SAP Security design and administration processes, creates and updates operational guides, and monitors existing operational guides for consistency and completeness.
  • Proposes and implements SAP security enhancements that will support growth and improve the security and reliability of the system.
  • Follows change management processes to ensure that all changes are tested and certified in a consistent manner to ensure compliance to GITC.
  • Participates as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for User Access & Controls teams for SAP Security project upgrades and new business functionality.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
    • Experience in SAP security design and implementation with may include SAP ECC, BW, SCM, PI/PO, Portals, TM, BOBJ, Redwood and HANA.
    • Experience with configuring, implementing and supporting all four components of GRC Access Control 10.x (RAR, CUP, ERM & SPM) including all BASIS activities, emphasis on Segregation of Duty (SoD).
    • Previous experience with Identity Management technology and concepts and GRC workflow configuration and processes.
    • Solid analytical skills, experience solving practical issues and engaging cross functional teams of multiple process partners to gain consensus
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with peers and executive leadership.
    • Strong leadership and management skills that align with the Smithfield culture. Specific skills include facilitating change, driving operational excellence, and striving for continuous improvement.
    • Experience with project management.
