Talascend is currently seeking an IT SAP Manager for a direct hire opportunity with our client located in Auburn Hills, MI.
OVERVIEW:
This person manages the IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Application Support (SAP) staff and should be proficient in the various technologies used by the organization's IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Application System. The successful candidate for this position will ensure the stable and efficient operation of the data center physical and cloud infrastructure, SAP, servers, data storage, desktop computers, backup systems, Active Directory, security systems, and business critical applications. This person must be able to demonstrate strong leadership ability, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strives to provide excellent customer service, take initiative, be a team player, and possess a strong work ethic.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead IT department operational planning, including innovation, planning projects, organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources, and coordination of IT with the overall strategic goals of our client.
- Lead and manage infrastructure and security projects on network, servers, data center, cloud, and continuous security improvement.
- Lead and manage SAP functional support team including MM/PP, FICO, SD ABAP, BASIS and EDI.
- Develop, document and implement policy, standards and operating procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
- Work with SAP Power users and SAP Key users to solve business problem.
- Generates monthly and periodic reports as needed to represent the IT projects or department activities, expenditures, network structure, network functionality and other IT related reports as requested.
- Maintain a high level of quality service and effective working relationship with all levels of management, customers, staff members, and other departments; strong customer service orientation.
- Provide regular communications to management, other departments, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
- Keep current with emerging information technologies and recognize the potential value they may bring to the client and apply them when feasible.
- Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
- Manage employees, including training, career planning, performance evaluation, coaching, discipline, motivation, and individual work objectives.
- Ensure responsibilities delegated to IT staff are carried out.
- Ensure punctual attendance per defined work schedule and comply with the attendance policy for time reporting, break periods, and overtime if applicable.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain an accurate and up to date IT assets database.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has management and supervisory responsibilities for the IT department.
