Our client, a leading multinational cosmetics company, is hiring an IT Finance Project Manager with 8+ years of experience and proficient in SAP Finance, possessing expertise in financials and analytics.
- Hybrid: Long Island City, NY (Onsite presence required 2-3 days/week).
- Rate: $75-85/hour
- W2 ONLY
Project Overview:
The role involves aiding in the implementation of SAP PaPM (experience not mandatory but SAP Financials-related experience is essential). The Project Manager will collaborate with offshore development teams and an implementation partner. This hands-on position requires active involvement in project plans, scheduling, and other project-related activities, emphasizing practical engagement over a traditional PMO role.
Responsibilities:
- Senior Stakeholder management and communication.
- Management of cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity.
- Application of project management processes and methodologies to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality project delivery.
- Adherence to IT (GIS) PMO methodology and enforcement of project standards.
- Development of project plans and assignment of teamwork responsibilities.
- Directing and monitoring of daily work efforts.
- Identification of resource needs and ensuring accountability in meeting project commitments.
- Performance of quality reviews and adherence to quality assurance procedures.
- Management of project risk exposure and escalation of issues.
- Tracking of key project milestones, managing project plans, budget, and resources.
- Coordination of communication across the enterprise impacting scope, budget, risk, and resources.
- Provision of Project Financial Management, including funding processes, budget management, tracking and reporting team hours and expenses, and updating project forecasts.
- Management of interdependencies across IT, working with other Project and Program Managers to identify and manage interdependent deliverables.
- Ensuring completeness, currency, and appropriate storage of project documents.
- Selection of suitable work procedures and approaches to address technical/functional, process, and/or people challenges.
- Leadership and/or support for various work efforts assigned by the head of Global Applications Portfolio, enhancing PPM process maturity and supporting organizational strategies.
Required Skills:
- Senior-level professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Proficient in SAP Finance, possessing expertise in financials and analytics.
- Proven implementation experience.
- Inquisitive mindset with the ability to ask pertinent questions and take proactive measures.
- Collaborative and professional, capable of working seamlessly with both business and technical teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience delivering complex IT application projects at various organizational levels.
- Proven track record in delivering projects within stipulated time and budget constraints.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in project management methodologies and tools, including resource management, portfolio management, demand management, and governance techniques.
- Experience leading large, complex cross-functional projects impacting finance business processes, with preference for SAP domain knowledge.
- Project management across all business and IT functions.
- Previous experience in a large-scale global organization within a dynamic and managed environment.
- Proficient in managing relationships and deliverables across global IT and business organizations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint/Excel).
- Expertise in Microsoft Project.
- Agile Project Management Experience (preferred).
- ITIL certifications (preferred).
