Responsibilities

This position reports to the MMPP Manager, Materials Management and Production Planning (MMPP). Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Understanding advanced, integrated business processes; identifying and recognizing global integration consequences, including where local processes are appropriate.
  • Meeting with key users to determine application development requirements, acting as the liaison between the IT Organization, the Business Process Owners, and the end users to ensure requirements and progress are communicated accurately.
  • Comprehending and performing complex configuration tasks and testing in the areas of Warehouse management, and other MM, PP and QM areas as required
  • Successfully handling multiple projects, completing them on time, on budget and exceeding customer expectations according to priorities of an overall process roadmap.
  • Working with the other Business Process Functional Teams, Application Development Teams, and Technology Services Teams as well as the end users, to analyze, design, develop, modify, test, and implement, software & hardware solutions, applications, and metrics to measure effectiveness that satisfy business requirements.
  • Design and maintain standard roles and data access rights, as part of standard global user profiles and onboarding of associates into the processes.
  • Researching the SAP system, OSS, ASUG, and other resources for solutions to business requirements and the implementation of new business process improvements. Researching new technologies and functionality, making recommendations on their use at client.

Creating design specifications for programs in all aspects of SAP's proprietary ABAP/4 programming language. Completing documentation of software solutions, SAP configuration and program modifications according to departmental standards.

Qualifications

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Immediate primary responsibility will be support of ECC Warehouse Management. To maintain current WM installations, and to roll out additional plants on WM.
  • Lead and manage the design of the physical warehouse (WM) and production supply areas related to WM.
  • Gather and document process requirements and gaps, working closely with cross functional users for resolution and design.
  • Understand RF screen design, work with external contractors for specific needs like RF scanners.
  • Document processes and deliver training for key users, work with and guide external resources where appropriate.
  • Experience in the SAP MM, PP and QM Module and fluent in end-to-end supply chain, manufacturing process, and serialization and traceability tactics used throughout.
  • Working knowledge of the functionality of all other core SAP modules (FI, CO, SD, PS) and integration points. Working knowledge of the ABAP Workbench.
  • Need to be able to take user requirements, design appropriate solutions and carry them through implementation including integration testing and end user training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to sell concepts and ideas to a wide range of audience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Energetic and self-motivated, willingness to learn and openness to change are important.
  • Should have been through at least 2 full life cycle WM implementations of SAP ECC
  • Ability to recognize, respect and adapt to cultural differences, as SAP is used on a global level.
  • Need to be able to travel (domestic and international) for global projects (kick off, design, testing, end user training, implementation), conferences etc. Travel will be on as needed basis.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of printers, labels, physical warehouse optimization, wave picking and warehouse automation is preferred.
  • Experience working with outside contractors.
  • Knowledge of the SAP Project Systems, Solution Manager, ASAP methodology and SAP Best Practices are a major plus.

Education and experience required:

  • 3 years of IT or related WM / MMPP business process experience and 2 years proven SAP configuration experience in the WM / MMPP modules. A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of experience. (Level 2)
  • 5 years of IT or related WM / MMPP business process experience and 5 years proven SAP configuration experience in the WM / MMPP modules. A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of experience. (Level 3)

Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related discipline.
