Connections IT Services is now hiring a Director of S/4 Concepts.  This role supports the design and development of the Trade Management capabilities of the Enterprise First Global template (built through SAP S/4 concepts).  Objectives are to ensure that the Global Template supports the execution of business processes related to:  Funds Setup, Planning Setup inclusive of Baseline and Promotion Planning, Promotion Optimization, Promotion Monitoring, Order-to-Cash Integration, Accruals Management and Claims & Settlements.  This includes accessing all information necessary to process, manage, and track promotion investment spends in a timely manner.

This role also shares best practices around the planning and execution of Trade along with promoting business harmonization between sectors and business units around a core solution. 

This role will adopt and adhere to Parent Company’s Agile Methodology (PAM) principles for the Global Template project. 

Accountabilities

  • Partner with the Customer Business Planning Global Process Lead, Pricing & Rebates Global Process Lead, and Trade Optimization Global Process Lead to implement and deploy the end-to-end solution - Accountable
  • Support decision-making for Trade Management and Optimization localization of functionality of the Global Template during deployment - Accountable
  • Collaborate with the Customer Business Planning Global Process Lead, Trade Global Process Leads to implement and deploy the Global Template for cITs Client’s – Consult/Execute
  • Actively engage and educate business process owners on solution optimization, simplification, and standardization capabilities – Consult / Execute
  • Partner with IBM in designing, building a fully functioning system based on the user stories, with all supporting project lifecycle documentation (process flows, PDDs, config rationale, testing etc.)
  • Collaborate with all scrum teams to deliver an optimized end-to-end Global ERP solution leveraging Agile Methodology – Consult / Execute
  • Work closely and collaborate with onshore and offshore scrum team members to ensure a prioritized and sufficient product backlog for the teams to work against – Consult / Execute
  • Participate in Sprint planning, retrospectives, and other key ceremonies – Consult / Execute
  • Along with scrum team identify, monitor, and implement key agreed-upon improvements - Consult / Execute
  • Adopt and adhere to PAM principles and values:
  • Adopt development practices which focus on quality and value, while increasing efficiency, and minimizing waste
  • Foster an environment where communication, teamwork, and innovation are encouraged
  • Help to implement Agile engineering best practices such as continuous integration, automation of testing and delivery, and continuous peer review within teams.

Key Skills/Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience configuring, deploying, and managing SAP Trade and Promotion Management (including CBP) with a focus on Funds, Promotion Planning, Claims and Optimization solutions
  • 2+ years of SAP S4 Finance experience of preferred including SAP CBP (Customer Business Planning).
  • Strong experience in end to end Trade Management planning and execution design and development.  This includes integration with other functional areas like finance, order to cash and data and analytics.
  • In depth knowledge of Pricing, Rebates, CRM Marketing and Sales orders modules to support Funds, claims promotion planning processes.  Knowledge of all master data objects required to support the Promotion Planning and Execution (business partner and roles, customer hierarchy, etc.); Pricing & Rebates (pricing condition maintenance, agreements, pricing reports, etc.)
  • Deep and broad Trade Management experience with Promotion Planning, Contract Management, Pricing & Rebates Process, Scenario Planning, and Analytics in a global capacity
  • Familiar with Parent Company’s business processes and nuances related to trade management across multiple markets.
  • Knowledge of solutions deployed within Parent Company’s in Trade and Revenue Management area
  • Previous leadership role on a major SAP transformation project
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in the following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have: SAP SolMan 7+, Azure DevOps, Quality Center and MS Project
  • Solves highly complex problems within their work team
  • Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments
