This position is on the staff of a government consulting firm located in Tysons, VA. The GCSS Army DFPS SAP Analyst will work on-site at the client organizations located in Richmond, VA and at Fort Lee, Virginia. This role will provide assistance to the DFPS team focussing on sustainment and the growth of the GCSS Army system, responding to all inquiries and request for information from all customers and government agencies.

Responsibilities

As a member of a team focused on the sustainment and growth of the GCSS-Army SAP Solution. The GCSS-Army SAP Solution comprises of many interfaces from field systems. Knowledge of data processing via daily monitoring activities is necessary. Therefore execution of periodic monitoring and sustainment activities across SAP ECC environment by Functional Area is critical, and includes: 
• Regular monitoring and correction of Authorizations 
• Regular monitoring and action for Help Desk Tickets 
• Regular process improvement
• Design monitoring tools to enable efficiency in all areas The position will also include analyzing data, sometimes large amounts, perform ad hoc requests as needed, and field questions from users on a daily basis.

  • Have the ability to analyze trends in data to prevent further incidents
  • Document sustainment activities as it relates to the respective functional area 
  • Process improvements to current processes as time permits

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Experience: 3-5+ Years with Bachelors in Science Advanced knowledge with Excel (VLOOKUPS, INDEX, MATCH)
Have a strong understanding of Army structure, terms, processes and basic tactical logistics.
Minimum three years application (SAP) experience in the Industry Solution Defense Forces Public Security, either as a SAP Super User, SAP Business Analyst, SAP Tester, or Trainer, as it relates to USAFMSA data source (FMS or AOS) for approved UIC structure change. 
 Have advanced understading of structure validation including :

  • Validation of MRP areas both stock and provisions
  • Validation of Stock SLOCs as required by HDT 
  • Query tables for data validation 
  • Validate supply and maintenance relationships 
  • Load, Activate, and monitor Material Planning Objects (MPO)

 Complete understanding of SAP tables, data structure, programs, and ability to learn customized development for the solution 
 Abiltity to communicate effectively the advanced analysis of issues and trends, in person or in the form of presentation or proposal Required - US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a “Public Trust” clearance and CAC card

Preferred Qualifications:  5 + Years experience working in SAP environment in the Industry Solution Defense Forces Public Security,  with Bachelors in Science Expert Data analysis experience desired,  including complex and large data set, with the ability to manipulate and provide exper analysis Working knowledge of Army structures, terms, and processes Strong facilitation skills may be required for issue analysis/resolution
