Join us as a Senior Business Systems Analyst by providing business intelligence (BI) support to our Finance teams and leading various projects to support the Chamberlain Group’s global initiatives.  This is a "Contract - to - Hire" position.  
The Senior Business Systems Analyst, BI is responsible for gathering requirements for Business Intelligence analytics, metrics, KPIs, queries and reports, ensuring proper usage, quality and security of the information provided. In addition, in this role the Senior Business Systems Analyst will identify areas of operational improvement by utilizing system functionality, end user training programs, metrics and reports design, and system testing. Furthermore, they will provide support and maintenance including: end-user support, service incidents/problem resolution, and system support processes which include daily job monitoring, coordination with other IT teams and communication with impacted users. An advanced understanding of data modeling and extraction processes and support is required.
The focus of this role is in the Finance domain including Treasury, Corporate Controlling, Cost Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, SBU controlling, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, consolidation and related business services.
The role requires advanced technical abilities within BI, data model and complex report design, configuration, implementation and support, especially with SAP BI solutions, building and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders, understanding of metrics and KPIs, ability to work with cross-functional teams; complex project management and communication skills. The role will interface with multiple locations including corporate headquarters in Elmhurst, IL, Distribution Centers across US and Canada, technical Service Center in Tucson, AZ and manufacturing facilities in Nogales Mexico.
 
Senior Business Systems Analyst Experience:   
  • Bachelor’s in Information Systems or equivalent required. 
  • SAP BI or BOBJ Certification a strong plus. Master in Computer Science or Information Systems a plus.
  • Up to 7 years’ experience in Information Technology, preferably Data warehouse applications development or configuration.  
  • Up to 5 years’ experience desired with SAP BI tools (BEx, BOBJ, HANA, etc.) and/or other BI/BW tools (Cognos, SQL Reporting/Analysis Services, etc.).
  • At least 2 full cycle implementation of SAP BI/BW including blueprinting phase.
  • Minimum 5 years working with business processes related to Finance in a manufacturing environment, preferably consumer goods, industrial equipment or component manufacturer for a global company.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with business management related to defining and documenting metrics, KPIs, analytics and management reporting. 
  • Experience in global environments a strong plus.
Senior Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Development, implementation, and testing of BI data models and queries and reports. This includes configuration, documentation and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Work with business stakeholders to elicit, define and analyze business requirement for management metrics and analytics and then select appropriate tools to implement.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams across all modules of SAP and other applications to define and design proposed solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to application design guidelines, strategies, and industry best practices.
  • Create deliverables according to the Software Development Lifecycle such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation.
  • Configure, prepare, and test deliverables to meet designs.
  • Facilitate resolution of cross-team business issues.
  • Collaborate with business partners on deployment including training, change management, and communications.
  • Create documentation and training materials; deliver training and communications; assist in organizational change management.
  • Manage own work and project team member’s assignments to deliver according to project schedules; be accountable for delivery.
  • Apply project management standards and concepts; prepare work estimates and work schedules; create and update project plans. Complete project financial and overall status reports and manage issues and risks.
  • Provide support on the extraction and data loads processes as well as Process Chain execution and monitoring.
  • Provide solutions in SAP BI or other tools available, for end users by helping with enterprise information analysis and design, work with data team to design if needed.
  • Support production systems; proactively work to analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner.  Resolve end user service requests.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage applications to improve business processes, and support business re-engineering efforts.  Research and represent industry best practices.
  • Other duties as required including travel.
