This position is for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst located in The Woodlands, TX. The successful candidate would part of an Information Technology team responsible for the deployment and maintenance of BI solutions. Currently BI solutions are utilized globally by more than 600 end users, composed of over 75 reporting objects and ~50 0 queries. Primary technologies currently deployed in the BI area are SAP BW on HANA, SAP Business O bjects, R and future potential technologies of Power BI.

Primary Responsibilities:

BI Education: Help promote the BI solutions to our end user community, leading to greater exploitation and maximizing our return on investment with regards to these solutions.

BI Solutions Delivery: Project team member (leads or contributor) – executes the entire project lifecycle, includes project definition, requirements gathering, project execution and ongoing support.

BI Support: Ensure all BI application issues are resolved in timely fashion according to established service levels.

Qualifications – Required:

Project Management experience (5+ years) - familiarity waterfall and agile approaches

Analytic and Business Intelligence background (10+ years)

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

Demonstrates ability and willingness to investigate complex business problems in detail, diagnose, and provide effective, efficient and creative alternatives.

Leadership and Self Starter:

Proactive self-starter who identifies high value opportunities, helps garners interested and support for projects that delivers a long term sustainable solution, driving projects to completion & ensures user acceptance and use of these solutions.
Keeps abreast of & actively learns new emerging technologies

Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline, preferably in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or a related area.

Qualifications – Preferred/Considered a plus:

Experience in the Petrochemical industry SAP BW HANA Power BI R / Python
