Modis is searching for an SAP BODS Developer for a contract in Houston, Tx.

Primary Job Function

• Promote standards and consistency across the systems adhering to the best practices established by the DS&A department

• Execute projects, proof of concepts and technical design

• Will be responsible for BODS development and conversion of PowerCenter jobs into BODS.

• Experience with PowerCenter desired but not required

• Will be responsible for the level 3 support SAP Data Services/Information Steward (DS/IS) and SLT environments for the Data Science and Analytics (DS&A) supported platforms.

• Must adhere to policy & standards while implementing and supporting solutions to adhere to ExxonMobil best practices

• Work with various project teams to ensure the platform will be robust, performant and reliable

• Create and contribute to the policies, technical procedures, technical documentation, and monitoring of the DS/IS & SLT platform

• Responsible for executing business recoveries and procedures

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills are required for the timely resolution of complex customer issues

• Able to implement processes to continue to improve operational stability

• Experience in configuring SLT with Solution Manager is desired

Job Requirements

• 5+ years in several of the following SAP BW, SAP BOBJ, SAP SLT and HANA SAP HANA/SLT Administration experience (including installation and upgrading), SAP Business Objects Explorer (BOE), and BODS

• Ability to work non-standard shifts and/or on-call to support the requirements of the organization

• Minimum BS in Computer Science or equivalent

• Familiarity of overall SAP ECC modules and business processes

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence systems (BW, HANA, BOBI, Tableau, MSBI, DS/IS, LSMW, PowerCenter, ABAP, and SQL)

• English Language Fluency - Verbal and Written

• Self-starter and independent worker

• Experience in Applications support

• Solid understanding of the fundamentals of application computing technologies

• In-depth awareness of computing technology, databases, software licenses, and processes

• Ability in analyzing and resolving complex technical issues

• Strong data and problem analysis skills

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• Strong customer focus

• Strong commitment to fostering and promoting team-work, sharing knowledge with team members
