Job Description:

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

• 14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD

Requirements:
The IT Software Engineer 5 is responsible for providing the software development for supported systems and new projects to deliver business value. This includes the planning, implementation, and stabilization associated with the deployment of code. The software engineer shall apply knowledge of IT principles, business processes, procedures, and standards to research, design, configure, develop, test and debug to all development. The software engineer shall evaluate and understand integration points and dependencies associated with hardware, software, business requirements and system characteristics. The software engineer must adhere to strategies, policies, and standards associated with the assignment being performed.
Core Responsibilities:
* Replace the current SuccessFactors Employee Central BADI replication process with Business Integration Builder (BIB). Gather and document requirements based on existing BADI and extra programs to ensure all mapping is covered as expected in the conversion to BIB. When implementing BIB, additional action configuration should be set up in SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP R/3 on premise. In the end, employee and org management data should be successfully replicated between SF and SAP using BIB including setup of automated production jobs. With the BIB implementation, create a documented reconciliation process for the business to ensure data is updated in SuccessFactors and on premise SAP R/3 as expected.
* Identify and implement solutions to broad, complex, and critical customer challenges and issues using a high degree of insight, research, and analytical skills, to develop new or enhanced methods and techniques to resolve problems.
* Designs, develops, and tests complex programs for SAP modules and functions using ABAP.
* Creates specialized reports for SAP modules using ABAP programming languages.
* Designs forms and screens for SAP modules using tools such as SAPscript and SmartForms.
* Interfaces with functional teams to ensure the proper integration of business processes and procedures with information technology and to identify customer solutions.
* Prepares comprehensive and thorough technical program documentation including but not limited to specifications, test conditions, test plans, and test data.
* Provides Production Support on related tickets as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
* A minimum of 14 years IT experience with BS, 12 years with MS, or 9 years with a PhD in Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
* Demonstrated proactive technical leadership of IT systems implementations.
* SAP ABAP programming tools including Report and Transaction creation, Enhancements, Conversion Programs, SAPscript, and SmartForms, Screen Painter BDC, LSMW, User Exits, Menu Exits, Function Exit, Screen Exit, ALV Reports, Dialog Programming, Data Dictionary, RFC, ABAP Query, ALE, BAPI, and BADI
* Extensive knowledge in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA HR development and configuration
* Preferred knowledge of bidirectional system to system integrations that could impact business customers on reporting of financial data or business processes.
* SAP FIORI development experience
* Demonstrated strong facilitation skills
* Understanding of COTS implementations and application development
* Demonstrated use of Agile/Scrum as the Systems Development Life Cycle process
* Experience with writing automated unit tests
* Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio required.
